anthropic 1.0.0 hit PyPI on 20 Aug. Earlier pydantic-ai releases, including v2.32.2 cut hours earlier, allowed it without supporting it — a fresh pydantic-ai[anthropic] install could resolve 1.0.0 and fail at runtime. v2.33.0 requires and supports anthropic>=1.0.0. Stay on older pydantic-ai only with anthropic<1. Custom http_client on AnthropicProvider must be httpx2.AsyncClient.3
